“PEACE” is a STALEMATE
Non-violence has and always will be a TACTIC. The PEACE people always dream about is a STALEMATE; when neither side benefits from aggression because of the blow back of doing so from the other side. If you don’t believe me just ask yourself why the United States Government always attacks countries that do not have weapons of mass destruction and never countries that do.
There are times to be non-violent and there are times to be violent. Your hand has four fingers and a thumb. Those hands have both the ability to be both Rembrandt and Bruce Lee. Those hands can perform intricate detailed artwork and can also break a board or someone’s jaw. There is no conflict here. It is called being a balanced and complete human being.
People study martial arts so that can discipline and control the mind and body to the point where they do not have to fight. Martial arts is the oldest form of anger management. When you know what you can do in a conflict you don’t panic out of fear and you have a measure of CONTROL over your emotions, your body and most important…your RESPONSE to aggression and conflict.
So, even though the non-violent people have good intentions behind their cries of gun control and non-violence, if you DO NOT teach yourself how to handle yourself in a fight or teach yourself how to use a weapon (like a gun, sword, knife, etc.) then you will almost certainly become the victim to those who do.
I have a question, how did being in an unarmed environment help the women and children of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT? If we think non-violence is a principle and not just a tactic then what do you do when a mad man or woman shows up at an unarmed environment with the intentions of ending the lives of everyone there? Wait for them to run out of bullets? Will you be a hypocrite and call the police who have the same guns you claim are too dangerous for citizens to have? Or…will you pick up your gun and put one in the melon of the fool who is trying to kill innocent children and send him back to the ancestral realm for recycling?
I always like to throw verses from the Bible back into the faces of the Bible thumpers and ask them to practice what they preach. Enjoy!
Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 verse 1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
