Mr. Holipsism analyzes round #3 of the 2009 BET Cypher with Mos Def, Black Thought & Eminem.
Calm the @#$%! down, Youngins!!!
You are at a 10 when you should be at around 2.
By far I’m feeling somewhat at a loss to make any type of judgement on this clip.
However, based upon your rather lucid determinations, I can declare that among the 3 examples given…’Black Thought’ was clearly the leader of this diatribe!
Mos Def was flowin’, I liked his rhyme and Eminem can spit a bunch of phrases–but not to the beat or (to me) the flow.
Rap is not a genre that I would listen to on a regular basis. Time to time, a beat or a hit will stand out for a minute…R&B, Jazz, Rock, even Country Western. I just have a problem with a lot of thiis new stuff because there’s too much noise with a lot of people sampling Old School callin’ it their own….PLEASE!!!!
